Creek Play
Make a splash and let your senses run wild this summer
Cool down with fun water play zones, including two creek play areas and refreshing misters covering the Sanctuary.
Enjoy a new interactive paddle pool for toddlers, Poorneet Creek Play, named after the tadpole season, it is a shallow creek bed with cascading water for little ones to play in.
Everyone can embrace their inner platypus and paddle to your heart's content at the Iuk/Eok Eel Creek Play area.
Other activities include:
- Hear Murrundindi (Wurundjeri Elder) share cultural stories and listen to the sounds of the didgeridoo, every day during the School Holidays except for Saturdays.
- Enjoy our wonderful array of keeper talks throughout the day.
- Grab an ice-cream at Ben & Jerry's or a cool drink at one of our café's.
- Try your best at building gunyahs for shelter on the Koala Picnic Lawns.
- Discover Australia's majestic birds in the spectacular presentation of Spirits of the Sky, on twice daily.
- Explore our play spaces including Future Vets at the Australian Wildlife Health Centre, and Bunjil and Corrobboree Frog Nature Play spaces.
- Keep an eye out for our volunteer-led walkthroughs.*
