Embrace the change of seasons at Healesville Sanctuary with our spring babies and Threatened Species month celebrations

Have a go at spotting some of our adorable spring babies! 

Celebrate Threatened Species Month at Healesville Sanctuary! 
During the month of September, join us to meet our dedicated Threatened Species Keepers, discover our 27 Fighting Extinction priority species, and leave inspired with a deeper appreciation for Australia’s precious wildlife and how you can help protect it. Celebrate the seven seasons of the Kulin nation – Poorneet, Tadpole Season, runs from September to October.

Daily activities include:

• Hear Murrundindi (Wurundjeri Elder) share cultural stories and listen to the sounds of the didgeridoo, every day during the School Holidays except for Saturdays.  
• Enjoy our wonderful array of talks throughout the day. 
• Keep active and warm up as you jump and play in our Banksia, Bunjil and Corroborree Frog Nature Play spaces. 
• Keep your eyes peeled for our Roving Rangers around the Sanctuary – they just love sharing their knowledge with you!
• Try your best at building gunyahs for shelter on the Koala Picnic Lawns
• Enjoy a warm cup of our very own coffee blend at one of the cafes. 
• Discover Australia's majestic birds in the spectacular presentation of Spirits of the Sky, on twice daily.
